Dear Ancient Futurists,
Thank you for joining us this Climate Week NYC.
We centered our conversations on the heart ❤️, recognizing our innate humanness and connection to nature, and were committed to zero blah blah blah with Chilli. Inspired by First Nation wisdom, we explored community responsibility in meeting needs and fostering purpose.
Remember that magical day we just shared at the Nature Temple? Let's relive it together! Please grab a cup of tea (or cacao or Everyday Dose) and let’s dive into the highlights.
Rooted in Reverence to Our Hearts
Picture this: The sun's peaking through the church stained glass and we're all gathered, cradling warm cups of cacao. Florencia Friedman from Cacao Lab guided us through a moment that was heartfelt and grounding.

💃 Madame Gandhi's Cosmic Meditation
Our goal was to remember that our bodies are the temple and we are extensions of the nature we all want to protect. Madame Gandhi had us all in our hearts and bodies with such a yummy morning yoga flow!
We talked about solar power with Daylight’s App. They are on a mission to decentralize the US power grid, supercharge the movement towards renewable energy, and make electricity more reliable and affordable for all.
🧠 Creativity Unleashed
Angela Del Sol's workshop with Altering.io was fun, right? Hands up if you left feeling your brain doing jumping jacks! What crazy story did you tell Bob? What about your innocent conspiracy theory?
It’s been a great pleasure to support Altering creativity available for all this summer! Make sure you download the app.

🪶 Indigenous Wisdom: Our North Star
The "Indigenous Voices" panel wasn't just informative—it was transformative.
Did you know? Indigenous peoples protect 80% of the world's biodiversity. Let that sink in for a moment. The panel on "Indigenous Voices: Guardians of Global Biodiversity and Climate Solutions" with NDN Collective, If Not Us Who and Weaving Worlds was a profound reminder of the critical role Indigenous communities play in protecting our planet. The speakers' stories of resilience, traditional knowledge, and innovative solutions left us all inspired and committed to amplifying Indigenous voices in climate discussions.
⚖️ Justice, Fashion, and Fearless Activism
From Steven Donziger's jaw-dropping story and his unwavering commitment to environmental justice in the face of tremendous adversity reminded us all of the high stakes in our fight for the planet. Please sign this petition to support this Legend!
We enjoyed delicious Fantastic Fungi chocolate bars while discussing sustainable fashion with pioneers Eva Kruse from PANGAIA, Veronica Zhai, and Alden Wicker. Their work has disrupted one of the most wasteful and polluting industries - fashion. The discussion on sustainable materials and health impacts inspired thoughtful conversations and commitments to conscious consumerism.
Effective Activism in Action
The "Discomfort as a Catalyst" panel featuring Michael Greenberg from Climate Defiance, Luisa Neubauer, Jeremy Orr from Earth Justice, and Madeleine MacGillivray from Seeding Sovereignty was a masterclass in effective climate activism. Their diverse approaches and shared passion ignited a fire in attendees, with many pledging to take bolder action in their communities.

🪶 Ritual, Creativity and Mysticism with Shilo Shiv Suleman and Fearless Collective
Shilo Shiv Suleman and Fearless Collective's Natural Paints Workshop and photo exhibit revived Indigenous painting techniques, explored traditional methods of preserving ecology and folklore, amplified marginalized voices, and reoriented climate change conversations towards hope and action, demonstrating how to build solidarity across movements while rooting climate justice work in joy, creativity, and collective imagination.
Fearless Beauty with Fatimah Hossaini
When war and conflict tend to take up all the airspace, it’s the job of brave artists and poets to show beauty. We get chills looking at @fatimahhossaini works, a photographer, artist, and teacher whose work tells a tale of resilience, beauty, and elegance amidst political chaos.
📱 Climate in the Age of Algorithm
Melissa Rowley, Vera Papisova, and Ashley Barrientos provided us with crucial tools for navigating the complex world of (climate) information. Their insights on responsible content creation and consumption empowered us to engage with and share accurate data. Remember to view headlines critically!
🌱Seed Bombs
We successfully created 500 seed bombs to be scattered across NYC! Monarch butterflies are in crisis due to habitat loss, pesticides, and climate change. In partnership with, @earthed.co, @hypha.network, and @nowadaysonearth, we took action by planting native wildflowers, essential for monarchs’ survival.
🐋 Sound of the Ocean
Our love for the ocean runs deep, and we closed the evening with "Ocean Immersion" by Oceanic Global, Oceanic Global with Bodhi Patil, Dave Erasmus and art by Zaria Forman, and a beautiful concert directed by Joshua Sam Miller from Sound of the Ocean, with Rave Mehta, Angelina Stati, and Andrei Matorin, whose ethereal sounds washed over us, transporting the audience to the womb of the ocean.
🎨 Art, Ancient Futures, and Sonic Journeys
From Von Wong's eye-popping visuals to DRĖĖĖMY's soul-stirring beats, our senses were on delightful journey! We're grateful for the beauty these creators brought to the legendary Judson Church, proving that everyone has a role in this movement.
